On Tuesday, May 5, an intense and thought-provoking event took place within the BIP Inclusive and Accessible Environments for Disability, hosted by the University of Bergamo as part of the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance. The event featured a performance by Michael Turinsky, an internationally renowned artist and choreographer who, through the body, movement and stage presence, questions social representations of disability, vulnerability and normativity. It was an intense and provocative performance, capable of challenging habitual ways of seeing and opening up new perspectives on the relationship between body, space and gesture.
The collaboration with Orlando Festival is part of a well-established dialogue with the University of Bergamo. It concerns not only the BIP, but also the active agreement with the Department of Human and Social Sciences and the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures, with the aim of promoting shared opportunities for research, education, production and cultural promotion on issues related to inclusion, differences and social justice.
